Local exhaust ventilation equipment (LEV)
is widely used to control employees' exposures at work to substances
which are hazardous to health. Both the Control of Substances Hazardous
to Health Regulations 2002 (COSHH) and the Control of Lead at Work
Regulations 2002 (CLAW) require employers to ensure that thorough
examination and testing of LEV is carried out at least every 14 months. |
Although the thorough examination and testing of LEV is straightforward,
it is time consuming and requires specialist equipment (and competence
in its use). Most employers choose, therefore, to engage consultants to
carry out the work.
We can
help you carry out the examination and testing required by both
COSHH and CLAW. The records of the examinations and tests comply with
the requirements of the appropriate Approved Code of Practice.
